MBTI x Pokemon: How to Score it

  So you have finished your test and need to score it now? You've come to the right place! First, make sure you have the scoring sheet:     •      PDF version     •       Google Sheets Version   • Feel free to make a copy of the google sheets version to edit it for yourself! It seems daunting at first, but scoring the test is not very difficult once you learn how.  1. On the sheet, you will mark a tally for A or B for each question 1-70, going from left to right.  2. Once you have done that, you will write the total number of tally marks for A and B in each Column.  3. Columns 2, 4, and 6 are carried over to the right and added to the totals of columns 3, 5, and 7, respectively.  4. Finally, carry the numbers down to the cells above the letters E/I, S/N, T/F, and J/P. 5. Circle the higher number above each pair of letters. Together, these make your MBTI type!   Steel - INTJ As a secretive steel type, you’re fine with waiting in the back of the party until it’s absolutely necessary for you to strike. When you do arrive, the opponent better be wary; you’ve had this fight figured out from the beginning. INTJs live in the world of ideas and strategic planning. They value intelligence, knowledge, and competence and typically have high standards in these regards, which they continuously strive to fulfill. To a somewhat lesser extent, they have similar expectations of others. Like the INTJ, steel types will cut to the heart of any issue.

  Dragon - ESFP Who better to take center stage than a dragon-type trainer? Loud and boisterous, you’re always making a scene, and for good reason. The other types fear you, as they should. Use that enormous power of yours to take them down with ease.

  Ghost - ISTP As a Ghost-type trainer, your opponent might think that they know what to expect from you, but do they have another thing coming. Up, left, right, or in the shadows, where you are and what you’re doing is a mystery to your opponent. Keep up that element of a surprise to throw off your opponent and make a winning strategy. Ghost types analytical. Nothing is getting past you. You’re not one to just sit there and deal damage. You’re busy, confusing, and paralyzing in between. You know that there’s more to battling than meets the eye, and you’re going to capitalize on that knowledge. ISTPs are focused internally and deal with things rationally and logically, making ISTPs and Ghost types a perfect match.  Dark - ISTP As a Dark-type trainer, your opponent might think that they know what to expect from you, but do they have another thing coming.   Normal - INFJ Similar to the Dark and Ghost-type, and as a force of neutrality, your opponent won’t know what hit them. INFJs have strong intuitive capabilities, while Normal-type Pokémon can be quite the wild cards. You have access to a little something of every type up your sleeve, making you a dangerous foe to go against. INFJs are as warm as they are complex and hold a special place in the hearts of people they’re close to.

  Poison - ENTP A Poison-type Pokémon is often one that is underutilized. However, that doesn’t make you any less deadly. In fact, as an unknown quantity, your opponent might have no idea what tactics you plan on using against them. You have a piece of extreme competitive knowledge and edge; don’t let it go to waste.

  Flying - ISFP As a flying type trainer, the sky really is the limit. You don’t know what’s going to happen day to day or battle to battle, but that’s okay! You’ll get it all figured out. At some point. Whether you’re soaring up for a Fly attack or prepping your Brave Bird, the opponent you’re taking down is in a whirlwind of a battle.

  Fairy - INTP As an INTP Fairy-type trainer, you’ll be playing mind games with your opponent. You’re always thinking one or two steps ahead, never to be outdone. Your opponent has no idea what’s coming for them. On the other hand, you are forever the trickster who knows exactly their plans and will ensure they go awry.

Results: ESTJ

  Bug - ESTJ Bug types and ESTJs go hand in hand. They are the queen bees and will ensure that everyone feels strong and steady as the battle progresses. They always have a bag of tricks and venom up their sleeve to make sure that they’re up to the task.

  Electric - ISTJ With your electrical power, you’re a force to be reckoned with. Whether you’re a glass cannon, a tank, or an all-around threat; as an electric type, you could be planning anything, leaving your opponent in the dark as to what to do next. Keeping their opponent on their toes is something that ISTJ are able to do with ease.

  Ground - ESTP As an ESTP, you need to get out there and go. As a Ground-type trainer, that’s exactly what you’ll be doing. You’re always going to be doing big damage no matter what, so why sit there and think about what needs to be done? Ground Pokémon tend to be quite aggressive and energetic, which suits ESTP perfectly. Rock - ESTP Breaking things left and right sounds like a job for a rock type and an ESTP. No need to think too much, as you’re constantly taking down your opponents. Not even the flying types will be able to escape from your solid personality. ESTPs are social beings who aim to mix logic with emotion. Rock types are grounded creatures who put their bodies and minds on the line.
